How Proficiam builds your weekly readiness plan

Proficiam is built around a simple idea: study recommendations should change when your results change. The same readiness model powers the free diagnostic and the paid weekly plan.

Definition

What Proficiam means by readiness

Readiness estimates whether your current preparation can become repeatable exam performance within the time remaining. It combines what recent work demonstrates with the pace required before exam day.

An early diagnostic is a starting estimate because it relies partly on your own answers. As relevant scored results arrive, topic estimates and the readiness timeline update. How recent, realistic, and substantial each result is affects how strongly it changes the estimate.

Reviewed by the Proficiam Editorial Team on 15 September 2026. Readiness is a planning estimate, not a guarantee of exam success.

The model cycle

Four connected decisions, refreshed by your results.

01

Diagnostic inputs

Exam level, time remaining, available study hours, target outcome, topic confidence, hardest topics, and reasons for mistakes establish the first readiness estimate.

02

Topic weighting

Topic priorities combine current readiness with CFA exam-weight ranges so weak, important areas rise before lower-value review.

03

Priority selection

The plan identifies where improvement is most likely to matter and recommends how to address it with your existing question sets, mock exams, or revision materials.

04

Result update

Logged results can include minutes, accuracy, confidence, time pressure, and reasons for mistakes from practice, mocks, or revision. They can update topic readiness, the overall estimate, and remaining priorities.

Sample output

From result to next action

What the result shows

Financial Statement Analysis readiness is low and exam weight is high.

Recommendation

Focus on FSA with your external materials - log accuracy, confidence, and miss reasons from your provider session.

Next adjustment

If concept gaps persist, flag for another provider session; if accuracy improves, move toward mixed-application sets in your materials.

Interpretation safeguards

Useful, not overclaimed

  • Readiness is a planning estimate, not a promise of passing.
  • The model is designed to prioritise study time, not replace official curriculum requirements.
  • An early estimate remains broad until it is supported by enough relevant scored practice.
  • Estimates remain cautious when relevant results are limited, old, or not collected under realistic conditions.
